Description TOROIn 1890, the Swiss Bautista Gerónimo Gargantini and the Italian Juan Giol rented a small winery, with only three barrels, to make their own wine. They spent 6 years of testing, but the results did not satisfy them. However, in 1896 they hit “the key” with a wine that they first called “Cabeza de Toro” and then “Vino Toro”.Giol and Gargantini described their work as “a wine made by workers for workers”, a spirit that the brand maintains to this day and which is reflected in the relaunch of its new campaign. In 1910, Giol and Gargantini reached the peak of their brand, producing 43 million liters of Toro wine. These 2 entrepreneurs bequeathed us their will and the value of the effort. For this reason, 120 years later, with a lot of hard work, honesty and simplicity, Toro is still in force in the market as the wine most chosen by Argentines, those who identify with the brand’s values: the workers, such as Bautista Gerónimo Gargantini and Juan Giol.
