Description Franck MassardFranck Massard is a winemaker who started Epicure Wines in 2009. In 2004, Massard purchased a 3-hectare vineyard in Spain’s Priorat region with a friend. The vineyard was tiny, with vines planted among olive trees.Massard’s goal is to create wines with a sense of place from lesser-known regions like Ribeira Sacra, Terra Alta, and Valdeorras. He looks for vineyards with high potential, often old plots that have been abandoned due to their marginal climates and/or low yields.Massard has also worked as an International Wine Ambassador and Educator for Torres winery for eight years, and as a sommelier and head sommelier in a Michelin-starred restaurant in England for seven years.
